At QATSICPP, our focus is to provide a collective voice for the rights and protection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. From practical resources to policy advice, our team pursue outcomes that are in the interest of our children, families and communities. You can find out more about the different areas our team work in below.

Our Programs
The programs we support our members to deliver cross over a number of service areas relating to child protection and wellbeing. Our goal is to ensure each program is delivered in accordance with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Placement Principle.

Advocacy
As a team, we focus on promoting the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families while also holding the government to account.

Resources
A key part of our work involves the development of structural practice frameworks and documentation that supports excellence in practice in our sector.

Delegated Authority
We are committed to supporting our members in every way we can. Going beyond every-day practice we also provide tools to improve processes and operations across our members’ organisations.

Centre of Excellence
Our newly established Centre of Excellence has been created to improve policy and practice in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child protection sector.
At QATSICPP our key role is to ensure that the five core elements of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Placement Principle are applied in every situation, for every child and their family.
