Expression of Interest – 1 x Specialist Domestic and Family Violence Worker – based in Toowoomba (Full-Time – 38 hours per week) – Identified Position

Current Blue Card Holder or Willingness to apply for Blue Card

Current Drivers Licence

On the job training with the willingness to undertake a Certificate 4 in Child, Youth and Family Intervention

Purpose of the Position:

• Provide advice and assistance to FWS staff working with clients and family members impacted by DFV.
• Assess and undertake risk assessments of referrals received
• Provide FWS workers with advice and assistance in safety planning, including, safe engagement strategies
• Assess, monitor, and minimise risk to family members and workers.
• Participate in client home visits where appropriate
• Work jointly with other FWS to ensure support needs of the family and/or family members are met.
• Assist in assessment of client needs and decisions regarding case management and referral pathways
• Develop and maintain appropriate referral pathways to specialist domestic and family violence, sexual violence and women’s support services
• Participate in relevant local networks that are specific to supporting services addressing domestic and family violence in the area.
