A Proud Waanyi Woman from the lower gulf area of Northern Queensland, Lyndell grew up in Mount Isa. Lyndell graduated from James Cook University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Laws and has since worked in the community legal sector and government agencies, including Child Safety and the Office of the Public Guardian. Lyndell also has a Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning and is currently completing her Masters of Conflict Management and Resolution.
Lyndell is passionate about advocating for the legal rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and has a strong sense of social justice. In her position as the North Queensland Regional Manager, Lyndell is excited to be a part of the process towards positive, sustainable change that can be achieved for our people in the child protection sector.
