QATSICPP will host the 3rd (third) Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Controlled Child Protection Awards on Friday 11 December 2020.
This year’s Awards will be going virtual, with a condensed lunchtime ceremony streamed live.

About the Awards
The Awards are to recognise and acknowledge exemplary leadership, advocacy and practice excellence within the Community Controlled Child Protection Sector.
There will be 5 award categories.
The Award Categories are:
- Practice Excellence: this award is to recognise an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled child protection worker who has demonstrated best practice in their direct service delivery to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and/or families.
- Cultural Leadership: this award is to recognise an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled child protection worker who has demonstrated outstanding cultural leadership and mentoring within the workplace and/or community.
- Youth Advocacy: this award is to recognise an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled child protection worker who has demonstrated best outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people through strong advocacy skills.
- Innovation within the Sector: this award is to recognise an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled child protection worker who has demonstrated innovation within the sector to achieve best outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.
- Family: This award is to recognise families who are doing an amazing job of caring for and protecting their children. Broadcast of this award category may be limited.
