QATSICPP’s Senior Practice Leader and Training & Education Coordinator were invited to the Central Queensland’s, Department of Child Safety, Youth & Women, Senior Team Leaders (STL) & Senior Practice Leaders (SPL) forums to deliver on QATSICPP’s Supervision Framework. The first training was held in Hervey Bay with thirty-four (34) STL’s attending on 7 November 2018. The second forum will be delivered to eight (8) SPL’s later in November, in Rockhampton.
The session on the 7 November with the STL’s provided a space throughout the training to with discussions centred on application of the framework in practice post training. Activities allowed the STLs to explore the framework concepts, unpack the supervision storyline, role-play with group discussions using focus questions: for example, what might be some of the challenges in implementing a cultural supervision framework in your Child Safety Service Centre at an individual, team, program, service level and how they might work towards addressing these challenges.
Overall feedback was positive and well received. QATSICPP’s Senior Practice Leader and Training Education Coordinator encouraged the region to provide feedback both on the successes and challenges in implementing the Supervision Framework.
