Guiding Principles for Partnerships
Parents, families, communities, agencies and governments have mutual obligations to protect and care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people.
The protection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people is a shared responsibility held by parents, families, communities, agencies and governments at all levels.
The participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities must be enabled at all levels, representatives are to be willingly engaged, flexible approaches must be adopted and adequate resources are to be provided to support capacity at the local, regional and state-wide levels.
Cooperative, collaborative and coordinated approaches to policy and service development are essential between agencies at all levels of government to address the over-representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and their families in the child protection system.
We have partnerships with PeakCare, CREATE and Foster Care Queensland.

the delivery of services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young
