The Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak Limited (QATSICPP Ltd) was formed from the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Partnership (QATSICPP) which was established as a direct result of the January 2004, Crime and Misconduct Commission Inquiry report: 'Protecting Children: An Inquiry into Abuse of Children in Foster Care'.

The QATSICPP Ltd comprising of independent community controlled organisations working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, young people and families who are in or at risk of entering in the child protection system.

The QATSICPP is registered as a company limited under guarantee under the Corporations Law in August 2008.
